Final Story Presented by Garmin
MOBRIDGE, S.D. — Jason Stahl won the Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s National Walleye Tour presented by Progressive event at Lake Oahe with a two-day total of 46 pounds, 12 ounces, edging Eric McQuoid by just over a pound after two days of chasing giant walleyes on the famed South Dakota fishery. The event drew an impressive field of 160 pros and 160 co-anglers, totaling 320 competitors for one of the strongest payouts in NWT history. Anglers took home over $450,000 in cash and prizes.
Pro Angler Jason Stahl – 1st Place
Stahl’s tournament-winning pattern came together at the right time each day, with crucial oversized fish helping separate him from the field late in the afternoon bite.
“Plan came together both days,” Stahl said. “I had a big over — a 32 yesterday and a 30 today — within the last half hour. That helped push me over the top.”
Stahl relied on three-quarter-ounce tungsten, Z-Man Jerk Shadz and Bombers pulled on leadcore to secure the win. Stahl was awarded $97,425.00 including a brand new Nitro ZV20 powered by a Mercury 250 ProXS.
Pro Angler Eric McQuoid – 2nd Place

Eric McQuoid stayed in contention throughout the event by tracking roaming fish across Lake Oahe and adapting to changing conditions over both tournament days. His consistency produced a second-place finish with 45 pounds, 9 ounces.
“These fish move a lot this time of year,” McQuoid said. “We kept the Garmin cranked and just kept running these fish down.”
McQuoid also collected both Garmin contingency awards totaling $1,000 for running Garmin electronics and a Garmin trolling motor throughout the tournament.

Pro Angler Beau Schilling – 3rd Place

AFCTO pro Beau Schilling rounded out the podium after targeting deeper fish and capitalizing on quality bites throughout the event.
“We only had two fish today, but we had the two right ones,” Schilling said.
Schilling finished third overall with 44 pounds, 10 ounces.
Rick Darling – 1st Place Co – Angler
In the Co-Angler division, Rick Darling claimed the victory with 42 pounds even after two days of fishing with some of the top pros in the field.
“The fishing couldn’t be any better,” Darling said. “This system right now is absolutely phenomenal.”
