The Stage Is Set For NWT Oconto

OCONTO, Wis. (July 29, 2026) – Anglers have checked in, the rules have been reviewed, and the countdown is on. The 2026 Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s National Walleye Tour presented by Progressive begins tomorrow in Oconto, Wisconsin, where competitors will battle for two days on the world-class waters of Green Bay. Hosted by the City of Oconto this premier event brings many of the nation’s top professional walleye anglers to one of the most productive fisheries in North America. Green Bay is known for its incredible walleye population, expansive water, and the opportunity for anglers to chase both numbers and giant fish throughout the system.

Tournament action begins tomorrow morning with takeoff from Oconto Breakwater Park & Harbor starting at 7:00 a.m. or first safe light. Following a full day of competition, anglers will return to Oconto Breakwater Park & Harbor for daily weigh-ins beginning at 3:15 p.m. as they compete for valuable points, prize money, and the Oconto title.
